Douglas Martin
After a long career of highly responsible work for large companies, I want to create a small company where I can put my knowledge, skills, and experience to good use. By also drawing on the research and writing skills of my partner, we believe that we can make a positive contribution to our new community here in the Netherlands. We are eager to support the field of medical research and to create a healthy work/life balance for ourselves.
Douge holds a BA from Lewis & Clark College.
Jeffery Ring
After 34+ years as a professional librarian and medical information specialist, I have gained broad and deep experience in understanding clients, analyzing their information needs, and finding the best evidence-based information to meet their needs. Although I am semi-retired, I am not ready to set aside a lifetime of experience and education. I am ready to focus on the fun part of the job: the detective work to track down exactly the information my clients need! I’m looking forward to building something that promotes the health and well-being of people in my new community. I can help doctors, nurses, pharmacists, physical therapists, medical/surgical technicians, and medical researchers improve patient treatment and outcomes.
Jeff holds the academic degrees BA, MILS, and PhD, as well as professional credentials: Membership in the Academy of Health Information Professionals (AHIP) and specializations in Systematic Review Services (SRSS) and Data Services (DSS).

Software Used
We provide our output in standard office software. We use:
- Microsoft Word
- Microsoft Excel
- Microsoft PowerPoint
- Adobe PDF
- EndNote
A word about EndNote: EndNote is very powerful. For modern articles, it can import the PDF and populate all the citation data when it finds the doi in the article. It creates a database not only of citations, but also of the PDF articles. It can produce in-text citations and bibliographies/reference lists in 6 000+ styles, most down to the very specific details of individual journals. EndNote integrates with Word using a module called “Cite While You Write” (CWYW). This places a new ribbon menu in Word that allows you to drop in citations in whatever style you choose. If you need to change from APA to AMA style, for example, you make a single change on a drop down menu, and CWYW reformats all citations and bibliography items in your manuscript with one command.
If you need to export your EndNote library of citations, it can output citation lists in these formats, ready for you to import into any other system you may need.
